The February Parliamentary By-Election for a seat commenced on February 5th, 2024 and will go till  February 16, 2024.
The Election Process consists of three phases. Which are Nomination, Campaigning and Voting Phase. The Dates for the phases are as follows:
    Feb 5 - 8 : Nomination
    Feb 9 - 12 : Campaign
    Feb 13 - 16 : Voting

The By-Election is for a single parliamentary seat. The candidate with the highest number of points within the ranking voting system wins the seat for the remainder of the term. Only candidates who campaigned at least once will be on the ballot.

2. Eligiblity for Jana Sabha Member:
    (i)  Should be a Citizen

According to the constitution,
Article VI: The Legislature, talks about the Parliament (The Jana Sabha).

To vote in the elections, make sure you are an eligible citizen and fill the below form and post in the thread below. You are allowed to cast votes until 11:59 PM IST 16th February, 2024. Results for the elections will be declared within 3 days after the end of voting. 

Private ballots can be sent to the Election Commission account using the same form below. But do include a three digit number which will be posted here for your identification. 

Method to fill the form [Read! It's Important]:
The user is entitled to fill their citizenship eligible nation name in the "nation name" column of the form. There exists 4 eligible candidates and only 1 gets selected. So here we will be using a ranking system, you've to fill the boxes with the number of your choice [1-5] where 1 means your favourite candidate and 5 means your least favourite from the lot. The number 1 choice would be granted with 4 points for the vote, number 2 with 3 points and so on. The least favourite, number 5 will receive 0 points from the lot. The top candidate with the maximum points gets declared as the winners. Please note that RON is also an option in this section. 
RON stands for Re-open Nominations and can serve as the NOTA option too. If you rank more than one candidate with the same rank then the ballot under that particular section will be deemed invalid. 

Only Votes casted after 11:59 PM IST 12th February, 2024 and before 11:59 PM IST 16th January 2024 will be treated valid. All other votes which are casted before and after this time period will be declared invalid.

    (i)  Should be a Citizen,
    (ii) Should be a World Assembly Member
