The Second General Elections after the passage of the new constitution will start now. The election process would commence from <span style="font-weight: bold;" class="mycode_b"><span style="font-style: italic;" class="mycode_i">March 4th 2026, to March 22nd 2026</span></span>.<br />
The Election Process has been revised to meet unexpected obstacles. It will consist of three phases. These are Nomination, Campaigning and Voting Phases. The Dates for the phases are as follows:<br />
   <span style="font-weight: bold;" class="mycode_b"> March 4 - 7: Nomination</span><br />
<span style="font-weight: bold;" class="mycode_b">    March 8 - 11: Campaign</span><br />
<span style="font-weight: bold;" class="mycode_b">    March 12 - 14: Voting</span><br />
<span style="font-weight: bold;" class="mycode_b">    March 15 - 21: Counting &amp; Verification</span><br />
<span style="font-weight: bold;" class="mycode_b">    March 22: Declaration of Result</span><br />

The Elections are for the post of Members of Parliament. According to the formulae for seat calculation, contingent on the Third Constitutional Amendment, there are seven seats in the Jana Sabha with one seat reserved for the Prime Minister. The Ministers will be appointed by the Prime Minister, and the tenure of the PM, Cabinet and Parliament is eight months.<br />
